Real Estate Responsibilities:
- Handle requests for title commitments, liaising with clients and requesting reports or certificates from abstractors.
- Order and review abstracts.
- Create commitments
- Engage in occasional online research of land records, tax records, and other digital repositories.
- Skillfully track real estate transactions for 1099s reporting and complete Information Sheets for submission.
- Draft real estate-related court documents.
- Proofing surveys and legal descriptions.
- Create status reports for clients, showcasing the successful culmination of their real estate endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing top-notch service to clients.
- Showcasing your organizational prowess by making appointments, calendaring dates, and handling all things scheduling.
- Highly organized with files and high proficiency with drafting and proofing documents and correspondence.
- Opening new business matters and tracking them across the firm’s system.
- Maintain and review attorneys’ billable time.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of prior real estate experience in a law firm, title company, or bank setting.
- College degree preferred but not necessary
- Experience with iManage or similar software
