Position Summary:
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will play a crucial role in shaping the firm’s operational strategy and ensuring that daily operations are executed with excellence. You will collaborate closely with the Managing Partner/CEO to drive growth, enhance financial performance, and lead operational initiatives. This position demands a strategic leader with expertise in financial management and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Partner with the Managing Partner/CEO to formulate and implement the firm’s strategic vision.
- Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness through strategic planning and execution.
- Guide senior management and staff towards achieving operational and financial goals.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the firm’s financial health, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and enforce financial controls and procedures to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Analyze financial performance to provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage all operational aspects of the firm, including HR, IT, facilities, and administration.
- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Business Development:
- Support the firm’s growth initiatives and enhance client relationships to expand market presence.
- Develop and enforce operational policies that align with the firm’s strategic objectives.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Oversee compliance with legal and regulatory issues affecting the firm.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in senior management roles within banking, finance, or related industries, with a minimum of 5 years in executive leadership in a law firm or professional services environment.
